When I listen to audiobooks while doing housework or cooking, I like to use a single headset so I can hear what’s going on around me. For people who are new to audiobooks, I always recommend an audiobook with full cast or single narration. If you listen to podcasts, chances are your brain is already used to listening to a voice. But if you often follow TV shows without actually looking at the screen, for example, while crafting or ironing, the whole cast might work better for you, because you’re used to hearing different voices. In fact, you really feel like you’re being productive instead of wasting precious time.
If you already love reading or printing eBooks and want to try this new book format, now is the perfect time to re-read one of your favorite stories and experience it in a new way! If you ever lose focus for a moment, you won’t get confused with the story and can quickly return to it without having to take a step back. That way, you won’t get frustrated with your audiobook so easily. If rereading is a total no-go for you, then it should at least be a book by one of your favorite authors. When you’re just starting out with audiobooks, this isn’t the best time to see new authors. Audiobooks have so many benefits, no wonder more and more people want to start listening!

From time to time you buy a book, read it and get very bored when you read it. Sometimes it’s hard to read a “dry” book, but I’ve found that they’re generally great to listen to. If you ever find yourself in a situation where you know that the content of the book is great but hard to read, take the audiobook version and move on from there. I’ve been listening to audiobooks regularly for about a year, and now they’re integrated into my routine.
